Our Story

From the lecture hall
to the boardroom.

We’ve grown alongside our clients’ IT environments. The euro, Y2K, the first EA tools, the cloud, and now AI: each wave has changed the nature of the work, but not the job itself. A few milestones from the past thirty years.

1995

Founded at a university department

Prof. Dr. Helmut Krcmar and Dr. Bettina Schwarzer founded ITM as a spin-off of the Chair of Information Systems at the University of Hohenheim. The premise: research-grade rigor applied to real-world IT management and IT landscapes.

1998–2000

The Euro and Y2K

We carried out a large-scale IT landscape transformation in preparation for the introduction of the euro, followed by a large-scale Y2K assessment. Working with large and complex application landscapes became our core business.

2002

Partnership with Alfabet

We become an Alfabet partner. Enterprise architecture tools go from being a side issue to a key enabler.

2006

Portfolio Rationalization in the Automotive Industry

Large-scale rationalization of the application portfolio in the automotive industry. The industry has remained a focus of our work ever since.

2015

Partnership with LeanIX

We joined the LeanIX partner ecosystem early on. Reports generated by our development team are now running in more than 350 SAP LeanIX workspaces worldwide.

2023

Full-scale LeanIX rollouts

Full-scale SAP LeanIX rollouts in the automotive industry: tools, methodology, and adoption—from the first workshop to daily use.

2025

MCP-based solutions for EA

We build MCP-based solutions that connect EA repositories to AI assistants, so that architecture data can be queried and used where decisions are made.

Today

EA and BPM for Complex Transformations

A specialist in enterprise architecture and business process management for complex transformation programs, and a certified SAP and Bizzdesign partner.
